i. The indoor controller is blank 1. Using a service controller, power down the outdoor panel and plug the service controller in to the outdoor panel. Power back up the outdoor panel. If the service controller operates the system correctly, there are two possible problems. Power down the Intellitouch system again. Remove the indoor controller from inside the home. Using the service controller jumper wire connect the indoor controller as you did the service controller at the outdoor panel. a. If the indoor controller functions properly you have a problem with the low voltage wiring from the indoor panel to the outdoor panel. Verify the colors and positions match. If they do, you need to replace the low voltage wiring. b. If the indoor controller still remains blank you need to replace the indoor controller. ii. The indoor controller lights up but you have no control of the system and get communication error messages. 1. Using a service controller, power down the outdoor panel and plug the service controller in to the outdoor panel. Power back up the outdoor panel. If the service controller operates the system correctly there are two possible problems. If they do you need to replace the low voltage wiring. b. If the indoor panel continues to behave the same way you need to replace the motherboard.
i. All LED lights on the outdoor panel are lit at the same time. 1. Likely cause is a failed motherboard or the personality board. ii. No LED lights will light up at the outdoor panel. 1. Verify voltage to the Intellitouch transformer. a. If no voltage is present the problem lies in the supply voltage, not the Intellitouch. 2. Verify voltage out of the Intellitouch transformer. a. If you have voltage in but no voltage out the problem lies within the Intellitouch transformer. b. If you have voltage out of the transformer you have a problem with the Intellitouch motherboard.
i. Check the device relay. If you unplug the relay from the personality board and the device continues to run the relay has failed and needs to be replaced. If the device shuts down there is a problem with one of the printed circuit boards, most likely the personality board.
i. Verify voltage in to the relay when the Intellitouch is operated in SERVICE or MANUAL mode. 1. If the voltage in is good, verify voltage out. a. No voltage out indicates a failed relay b. Good voltage out indicates a problem with the wiring out or failed device. 2. If there is no voltage in the problem is in the supply power.
i. If the switch is disabled in the Intellitouch control system, enable the switch. 1. Occasionally there is a problem where the Intellitouch will disable the switch repeatedly after you enable it. a. Perform a hard reset and reprogram both the indoor and outdoor panels. b. If this continues, the motherboard needs to be replaced. ii. Verify the switch is programmed for the correct devices. 1. If the switch is enabled and set for the correct devices you have a failed iS4 or iS10
